weekend

fraser, jim and i met up with dear o' nette wong zhi min on friday after school at holland village.
before that i managed to catch up with a few old friends back in acs(i) for a bit. it was great seeing them around still looking so happy. malcom ong's still the same. which is... haha afterwhich, fray peh and i broke away from jim and nette as we head down to bikehaus to collect his pedals which were missing. one thing i love about bike stores are that u get to play around with the stuff's in there. be it tampering with the bike's brakes, aerobars, lifting up bikes to see how damn light they are or even wearing the helmets on display, its still quite fun to a certain extend. i got mr peh to wear an aero helmet. and even took a picture of it (will upload soon once i get this picture thing sorted)...

saturday cycleworx ride was great yet again (but of course eh???)... we did 80km from the store to mt faber, tuas (which was fast... hehe it rhymes!), then to LCK, neo tiew and back to upp thomson via mandai. pace was abit slower this time round but i did manage to climb using the bigger mashing gears up mandai. total distance for the day including travelling to cw and back is about 101km. very good but not enuf for the week's 200km target (short of 40km)!!

anyhow my brother raced his first ever criterium today. he wasn't too used to how criterium works but the junior boys from toshiba bike labz from across the causeway sure did a good display of torture to our home grown passione boy lemel. lemel finished 3rd, after pulling most of the time while a malaysian bike labz cyclist was up front attacking him hard, and the 2 other bike labz rider hide behind lemel's wheels unwilling to work! it was great tactics only if you are able to appreciate and understand it! malvin (my brother) on the other hand, started off slow (last of the entire field to be honest), and made his way to the chase pack of 3 after his legs "woke up"... he's still got a long way to learn and go. hopefully from today's race he'll learn his lesson and also learn how to ride smartly. for me: i just have to train harder and ride more to up my speed endurance and gain back form. i believe i still might have a chance to be a fast racer, just gotta learn how to suffer.

overall the weekend was rather busy. we've been moving all over the area to view houses. yet again none to our liking, but there were one or two very nice apartments we are considering. moving is not fun!!!

i am going to bounce now. tired as hell! been up at 5 for the past few days!
