twitter

for those of you that may not know why i'm always checking my mobile phone from time to time, its because im using twitter...

so what in this world is twitter? twitter is a microblog that allows you to enter 140 characters (similar to a text message) and it will post it on the web or on ur twitter page. people may choose to follow you and likewise you may choose to follow someone just for the fun of it (sounds like stalking someone, but trust me its not and its great fun)!

what is so good about it?? twitter allows you to stay connected with your family and friends who use them as well. twitter also allows you to keep up to date on latest news be it business, home, or sports so long as u follow them and enable your mobile phone to receive updates via text. another thing that most of us didnt know about it was that during the recent sichuan earthquake in china, some twitterers based in china were able to send tweets and post it on their page and spread the news before big news co. such as BBC and CNN.

just an interesting note: singapore's famous blogger/podcaster mr brown is also a twitterer as well. you will be able to follow him and laugh at his funny postings!!
