team time trial

o what can i say??? it was a great sunday. though its just one team in our category we tried hard to come in as fast as we could. in the end averaged about 37kph.
after what uncle ernest have told me over msn, i guess quite motivated to go even faster... however not at the expense of poor grades :)
friday night supper with hx was nice. sadly none of our friends cannot make it. catching up with her after so long couldn't be any better.
my mates are heading to uni soon...gah not fair! it feels like everyone's growing up too quickly man! hahaha

english proficiency test

started my day at 10.20am this morning. mom woke me up and steamed 'bakchang' for me and i emptied the remaining contents in vitasoy milk carton.
got an email before 11 from the admission office of ISS, telling me to come down earlier at 11am tmr (2hours ahead of orientation start) for an english assesment. i panicked! "LIAO!"
so i called her and she said its compulsory to gauge our english standards as its part of their admission procedure. okay! well i've been to 2 international schools so far and i never kena this kinda thing before. but nvm lah go and see lor. i called jon to come along (he has to take it anyway, might as well do it today and leave tmr free apart from the orientation).
lalalalala, we met at plaza sing at 2ish where i had a quick bite. shit man china people everywhere... arghhhh.
a "12min bus ride" became 28mins. and we arrived at iss' gate 15mins before 3pm. KNN it was a long way up. about a few hundred steps to the top of the silly hill where the school sits. (i like the environment, school's a former ww2 british outpost btw, hence its quite a bit of history to it)
so we did our english assesment (pour GRADE 12s). i PENG-ed... big time.
Q54) the nurses and ______ work in a hospital, their job is to cure patients and make them happy.
(i made the options up, cuz i forgot)...
a) laywer b) fisherman c) doctor d) policeman e) something else i cannot rmb...
i pity the koreans or non native speakers doing this... i just thought it was rather funny doing this english proficiency test after sending the school's registrar emails to apply to this school. not that i have anything against it but really it was rather redundant and a waste of time afterall i am a native english speaker. i wonder wot will those angmos with damn pro english think about it?
then we had to do an english poem where i died-ed. all gone rusty. good game.
okie tmr orientation day. we're not playing games please...
if got zhar borr - i stay
if got no zhar borr - i ghay ghay laosai and go cycleworx.

to be honest, im enjoying every moment writing my EE... dont know why, but i think it will end up a mess if i dont stay focus. in the meantime, i think i'm already blabbering too much BS. jonny i need ur help mate!!! arghhhh! i need my extra points!

don't leave me high, don't leave me dry...

100k done on saturday. great ride where i was (near or) in the front most of the time. didn't get dropped so i guess the few days off was great recovery for the legs. tuesday with west coastrodalink, i hope to keep up with them... and we'll see how the rest of the week goes on.
its my last week til school reopens. got to really enjoy these last moments before i get back to serious study mode (bite my teeth, dig my head down and grind the pedals hahahaha)...
caught up with my 3 very great friends from primary school on saturday. did some work with them at bishan library for a couple of hours. library closed and dyan had to go home. and so the 3 of us (darryl, gracia and myself) headed to gracia's to get some (more) work done for the next couple of hours.
we started reminiscing to days back in primary school after i showed them some of our class photos that i've uploaded onto my computer. great stuff and great company :)
never thought we'd still be in active contact after so damn long. gracia and i were friends since primary 1, which was a solid (18-7) 11 years back. darryl was from primary 2 and dyan was in primary 4 (because of swimming). oh well... t'was a shame that huixuan wasn't there. hahahha
